Wii Fit Review

12 08 2008

So I have had this for a few weeks now and I feel its time to post a review. I have to say I am glad I did hold on because, opinions and thoughts did change over time. Idea behind Wii Fit is to, well keep you fit but once you start playing I was a bit confused by some of the directions it went in.

For one it put a lot of time trying to get you to balance correctly, in fact the only tasks in the dally test are focused on balance (apart from weighing your self). I found this a bit boring day in, day out and for a lot of people I don’t think this is what they where expecting. I feel Nintendo could have offered a wider range of tests for the dally test.

However once you move on to training you are able to do what you please. Yoga, running, Press ups are all there along with many other training events. I found my self doing the running and Press ups the most wile checking out a few of the others from time to time as well. The running was really fun and it was a good idea on Nintendos part to let you see your Mii running around a park.

I suppose my main issue with Wii Fit was the fact that I got board. It became a bit of a chore to turn it on every day and I ended up just not using it. I feel this was due to the reasons I talked about above. Apart from this Wii Fit did teach me a lot about keeping my self fit and I will continue to use it a few times a week. I am sure people out there who want to lose weight and are prepared to put the time in each day, will find this useful.
