I Got Nothing To Blog About!

Its true, but I though it would be better to post something as its been a few days. I am hard at work on some cool stuff which I hope to share with you all soon. The Eat 3D pillar tutorial has been neglecteda bit but I am working on it every day so I am going to take the time now to finish the textureing. I also scraped Subway/Borderlands station. It went though several designs and it was just not working. Its a cool idea and it gave me new ideas which I would like to try out some time. The next map is all ready in the design phase so look out for an update on that mid – end September. Also thanks to http://www.alexgaluzin.com for his wonderful Level Design work flow tutorials, they are what I needed!

Well that’s it, really! Been playing a bit of wow and Halo 3 but that’s it. Really not had a lot of time for gameing its self. Was going to get Too Human but I am going to hold off a few more days and get Spore for the PC. I still really like Too Human but it will have to wait, might even be next year before I pick it up, but I hope it does well.

This Is Box Art

Microsoft have shown off for the first time the box art for Halo Wars (see below). Looks very cool In my opinion and I would think the Spartans on the cover will help to sell copy’s of the game. They also released three new screen-shots (also see below) which look even better. As everyone should know I am a huge Halo fan, but I am also a massive Ensemble Studios fan, so I know these guys are doing a great job.

Why Do People Watch SI-FI(Channel)??

My hate for the American TV channel SI-FI was extended to new heights today as I read the news that they where canceling Stargate Atlantis, my favourite TV show. This will mean that other Channels like Sky One in the UK, where I watch it will no longer get it. Its now been said that the story will continue through movies like Stargate SG-1 did after 10 years as a TV series.

To be totally honest I don’t want that, Stargate is strongest as a TV series and I want Stargate Atlantis to keep going. So sick of SI-FI fucking up Stargate. One good bit of news might be, that we will see the third spin off series coming a lot sooner now. Stargate Universe.

Update Time

Its been a few days too long since I last bloged, sorry about that but I have had stuff to do. The old pillar tutorial I am working though is coming on well and I am onto textureing it now. So screens of the final thing in the next few days. I had some problems with rendering out the textures, but the fine people at game-artist.net where able to help me out yet again.

Need to talk to Dell and LG this week again I have an issue with both company’s that I want to get sorted and put behind me soon, as its starting to get annoying. Played a bit of Halo and battlefield these last few days as well as a good bit of WoW. I actually am leveling at a good speed.

Ten Games Mat Has To Play This Year

I may have talked about my most wanted games for this year before but with release dates changing and with more information out, I think its a good time to do a top 10 list for this year. The list is more or less in order and there are a good few other games, not on the list that I want to play, that still look very cool and great. Titles like Halo Wars are not on the list due to the fact they are now 2009 titles.

1. Left For Dead – After seeing the E3 videos, this jumped up to number 1. I can’t wait to go through single player with three other Friends in co-op.

2. Fable 2 – Fable got me into RPG’s, it was the first one I ever played and it opened a new door of gaming for me. I am very hyped for Fable 2, its got a lot of cool and new stuff going on.

3. Fallout 3 – Oblivion is by far one of the best games I have ever played and with the same studio behind Fallout 3 I don’t think its going to be anything less than a great game.

4. World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lych King – Having got back into warcraft I am playing as much as possible in able to be ready for the next expansion when it comes out near the end of this year.

5. Too Human – I had Faith when others did not and now that a lot of people have finally seen the goodness in Too Human I think its going to be a big title for this year. The demo was so much fun and I am looking forward to the final game at the end of this month.

6. Little Big Planet – Its one of two Playstation titles that interest me this year but boy is it a good one. I only really started to care about this title since E3, but having scene all the stuff you can do, I know its going to be a blast.

7. Crysis Warhead – Crysis is flat out one of the best firstperson games ever and I just know Warhead is going to follow in its footsteps.

8. Mirrors Edge – Dice are one of the best developers around. They made the Battlefield series which I love so much and Mirrors Edge looks to follow that fine tradition of quality.

9. Gears of War 2 – Gears was a great game and introduced some very cool stuff to the gaming world. Its going to be the biggest title this year, and its only right that such a great game is in my top 10. I am very interested to see where they go with story this time and the single player looks to be introducing some very cool stuff.

10. Stargate Worlds Beta – I know Stargate Worlds is now coming in 2009, but it looks like I will get into the beta this year with a bit of luck. I am really looking forward to checking it out.

Why Some Times I Hate Windows

For the most part I am a raving Microsoft fan boy but just some times I really hate windows! Why the fuck does it have to freeze up on me so much. Its most likley because I push it too hard but for goodness sake my Laptop has three GB’s of RAM and my desktop as four. Both also have good CPU’s and GPU’s. It just really pisses me off when I am trying to flip between widows and IE just fucks up causing me to have to wait for up to 30 seconds for it to fix its self, or for it to crash.

I love you Vista, but some times you really piss me off!

To WOW

Yea I went back. I plan to play in a different way this time following quests a lot more and I am really going to try and find a good guild to play with. I suppose its getting harder and harder as time goes on for people not level 70 or close to it to get into a guild that’s good. The old stuff in the game is starting to die out now as new stuff comes in and I really want to level up quickly so that I can get involved with some raids etc.

Anyway sorry its been a few days since my last blog post I should be back to normal now, got a job interview coming up next week as well so I will let you all know how that goes.
